2015

Estate Cabernet Franc

A real knock-out and a profound wine, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Old Vines is composed of 90% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Dense bluish purple, this wine is limited in production but exhibits extraordinary blueberry and black raspberry fruit, some graphite and white flowers, silky tannins and a layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally to a full-bodied, long, rich and complex finish. It should drink well for 15-20 years. It is super-impressive.

Sinegal’s 2015 Cabernet Franc Old Vine shows a bit more freshness than the preceding vintages have. Bright floral notes add lift to a core of intense red and purplish fruit. Silky, aromatic and expressive, the 2015 is wonderfully nuanced for such a big, rich wine. The 90% Franc in 2015 works beautifully.

Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark, plush and inviting, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers tremendous depth and intensity from start to finish. Dark red and bluish stone fruit notes abound in this inky, flamboyant wine. Even with all of its richness, the 2015 has preserved a good bit of freshness for the year.
